We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who takes responsibility and wants to help us build for the next phase of growth.
Bryntum’s JavaScript components are embedded in business-critical systems at 5,000 companies across 80 countries. Keeping that infrastructure reliable, secure and scalable is the foundation everything else rests on.
We need someone who is thorough, dependable, and takes pride in doing things properly. You’re driven and set a high bar for yourself. You enjoy working independently and act proactively even under uncertainty. You’re the kind of person who spots a problem and fixes it. You find it genuinely satisfying to keep systems clean, stable, and well-organized.
What matters is that you’re not afraid of new technology and can get up to speed quickly. Experience using AI tools like Claude Code for scripting, debugging or operational workflows is a big plus. We’re interested in people who actively use modern tools to move faster and reduce manual work.
You’ll join a small, sharp DevOps team and take on shared responsibility for the infrastructure that keeps Bryntum running. You’ll have access to production servers and the systems our customers depend on.
We’re in the middle of a maturity journey: moving towards AWS, consolidating infrastructure and replacing ad hoc solutions with more robust setups. You’ll be part of shaping that transition alongside your colleagues, with real ownership over the decisions you make.
Today we run a mix of physical servers in data centers in the Netherlands and the US alongside virtual infrastructure. You’ll work across both, with a focus on consolidation, reliability and keeping things simple to maintain.
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps or infrastructure engineering
- Experience with GitHub
- Solid experience with AWS, Docker, and cloud infrastructure
- Comfortable with scripting and automation, Node.js and Bash in particular
- Experience managing both physical and virtual server environments
- A methodical, detail-oriented approach
- Fluent English is a requirement, Swedish is a plus.

Our components (Gantt, Scheduler, Calendar, Grid) live embedded in business-critical systems at 5,000 companies across 80 countries. That puts extreme demands on every release, every API decision, and every trade-off.
We are looking for a Technical Product Manager who understands exactly what that means and wants to own those decisions.
This role is for someone who thinks like a developer but is driven by product questions. To thrive in this role, you’re genuinely tech-curious, someone who loves having many touchpoints and brings real ambition to everything you take on.
A big bonus is comfort and ambition around modern AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Codex, it’s something we genuinely care about.
You keep track of incoming requests and bugs, hold the big picture together without losing sight of the details, and turn real feedback from our active developer community into improvements that balance long-term direction with short-term delivery.
Our customers are developers, not end users. You’ll read bug reports, screenshots and code snippets and translate them into improvements that actually matter. We also want you to build a tighter feedback loop directly with customers, to learn how people actually use and experience our product.
You will make decisions that affect thousands of production systems. You listen, read the room and know how to handle demanding customers in a way that builds relationships. You’re comfortable with high ownership and like keeping things organized. You enjoy working independently and act proactively even in uncertain situations.
- At least 5 years of product ownership experience with a strong technical foundation
- Technical understanding of modern web development and how JavaScript applications are built, whether from a developer role, product-adjacent work or similar
- Experience with API design and backwards compatibility
- Experience leading technical customer conversations and product discussions in English
- Strong written communication: specs, product documentation and clear requirements
- Fluent English is a requirement, Swedish is a plus.
- Experience from an SDK or component library company is a plus.

The Technical Operations Lead acts as a force multiplier for the CEO and the company. The role exists to remove friction, increase execution speed, and ensure that important but cross-cutting tasks do not become bottlenecks.
This position combines hands-on technical execution with practical product and operational judgment, evolving into a trusted partner for both day-to-day execution and the ongoing improvement of how the company operates.
Essentially, own and resolve the “everything else” that slows the company down, across product, website, infrastructure, and internal workflows.
Over time, the role may expand to include broader technical ownership across parts of the AG Bryntum organization, depending on company needs and individual strengths.
Acts as an trusted extension of the CEO, taking on ad hoc tasks across technical, product, and operational areas, and driving them to resolution using sound judgment.
1. Infrastructure & Engineering Operations
- Debug infra issues across the stack and resolve technical inconsistencies to maintain system reliability
- Support releases and troubleshoot production issues to ensure smooth deployments
- Handle practical infrastructure needs including setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Step into technical gaps that do not clearly belong to a specific engineering area
2. AI & SDLC Automation
- Identify and implement practical uses of AI and automation to reduce repetitive work and increase team velocity
- Prototype and deploy lightweight AI-assisted tools where they create clear, immediate leverage
- Apply AI tooling to areas such as testing, code review, support workflows, and content generation where appropriate
- Continuously evaluate new tools and approaches, focusing on real productivity gains rather than trends
3. Internal Tooling & Developer Experience
- Build and maintain internal tools, scripts, and automations to eliminate manual work
- Improve onboarding flows and internal documentation to raise the baseline of how the team works
- Identify friction in daily workflows and resolve it without needing explicit direction
4. Website & Developer-Facing Surface
- Maintain and improve the website, including content updates and small UI adjustments
- Ensure consistency, clarity, and performance across pages
- Implement practical improvements related to SEO and developer-facing content
5. Continuous Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies across the company and fix them proactively
- Continuously improve how work gets done across product, infrastructure, and operations
6. Strategy & Product Input
- Act as a sounding board for product, website, and growth initiatives
- Contribute concrete suggestions, especially around developer experience, SEO, and tooling
- Ground ideas in execution reality, considering constraints and prioritization
Working Model
- Works directly with the CEO, primarily on-site in Stockholm (typically 2 to 3 days per week), with flexibility as needed and a high degree of autonomy
- Operates without a fixed backlog, priorities shift based on impact
- Comfortable switching between strategic discussions and hands-on execution
- Comfortable handling both high-leverage initiatives and small, unglamorous tasks
What the Role is NOT
- Not a management role, no HR or org responsibility
- Not a pure specialist role in backend, frontend, or DevOps
- Not a purely strategic or advisory position
Senior, high-agency technical generalist with full-stack capability and strong practical judgment. Likely background includes principal engineer, early-stage startup, or consulting roles.
Comfortable operating across domains, prioritizing outcomes over perfection, and taking ownership of problems without needing detailed direction. Curious about new tools and able to translate technologies like AI into practical improvements.
Operates in a highly dynamic environment with evolving priorities and undefined boundaries
Success Criteria
Short Term
- Reduction in CEO involvement in day-to-day technical and operational issues
- Faster resolution of problems and fewer bottlenecks
