Our state of the art Gantt chart

Post by nickolay »

ExtGantt has a long history and in some modes it allows inconsistent data. That however makes the system to behave randomly, unless you haven't customized the dependencies behavior.

A possible solution could be - to create a new type of dependencies, that will not affect the schedule, but will be still rendered.

Hi Nickolay,

Sounds good, but how can i do that ?

Post by nickolay »

The dependency already has a `type` field. Any non-standard type will be already ignored by the scheduling engine. However, it probably will be ignored by the rendering mechanism as well.

This will probably require some changes in the dependencies rendering code on our side, please confirm that you will move this direction.

Hello Nickolay,

Thank's for your help.

We were able to develop the required look and fell of the gantt, by bringing all the task and same level regardless of their type.
Yes please introduce this new dependency type which will be ignored by the scheduling engine, we will need this as well.

Regards

Hello Nickolay,

Can you give me a rough estimate about when this feature will be available ?

Thank you

Hard to say as we have quite a number of more important issues/features at the moment. If it's urgent for you, we always offer the sponsored feature implementation. Details: https://www.bryntum.com/services
