Smartphone UI concepts

Post by Lukappa » Thu Oct 18, 2012 10:30 am

Hi guys!
I have just done a first concept about how to improve the UI usability over smartphones.

Assuming that smartphones manufactures are producing larger and larger display (and full screen mode feature over mobile O.S), here is my idea:
Scheduler Touch UI concept v1.0
Scheduler Touch UI concept v1.0

Of course footer / header toolbar could be customized by the developer.

About actions:
After developing something like that you could see how much the d&d will be comfortable... if it will not be comfortable, every action could be replace with an actionsheet on tap user event.

Looking forward for your opinions.
Bye

Very nice work, I'll dig into this during the weekend. Did you try our new alpha release uploaded today? Would love to get your feedback on it!

Hi mats,
I toke just a look to the new lib but I didn't use it a lot.
Asap I will try to record a video of bug during drag and drop.
In the custom template example when I drag from 1 resource to another one, sometimes the event dissapears and come back after scrolling the grid (maybe it happens when there is an overlap between events)

I hope to tell you more in next days!
Bye

Very doable, though not for 1.0. Possibly 1.1 or 1.2 a bit further down the road, iPad is still prime target for advanced scheduling imho.

Perfect! I don't know exactly when I will start with my mobile project... but if I will start before your next releases, I will try to do it by myself and share the code with you... of course I can't promise it :)
Thank you

Ok, based on your idea I implemented a first experimental design for this. Should show up in the next release, see attached screenshot.

Thoughts?
